Tunis VanPelt was a Civil War Veteran from Warren County, IN. He enlisted 20Sep1861 Company K 33rd Infantry. His burial site is Leon Cemetery. His daughter, Laura, married John William (Bill) Bright. Their burial site is Shy Cemetery. He was a brother of my Great Grandfather Ezra Bright. There were two BRIGHT families in Decatur County. This one was from Eden and Center townships. The other was from Morgan township near Lineville, IA. Many of that family is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lineville.
