Elam Purviance Sprowl

My ggrandfather was Elam Purviance Sprowl, born in 1856, evidently immediately after the census taken that year. Elam's father and mother lived in High Point Twp, Decatur County, Iowa. William McKanney and Mary (Polly) Sprowl. I am hoping one of you living there would take on a little free research, and find what you can for me about this family, and especially William and Elam.
