What became of John D. and Margaret (nee BRIGHT) POTTER who appear in the 1870 census for Woodland, Decatur Co., IA but are not there in 1880? They came to Iowa from Gallia Co., OH where they were recorded in 1860 and she was recorded in 1850. Their children in 1870 were: Martin H., Edgar B., Ada B., Florence E., George B., Gulselmma (? - census hard to read) and Alice, all born OH.
