ESTHER LEOTA HOGUE was born at Davis City, Iowa, November 4, l899, and died at her home in Davis City, Jan. 28, l92l, aged 2l years, 2 months and 24 days.

Being afflicted from childhood, she has been a patient sufferer for years, though being deprived of many of the pleasures and privileges of youth. During the past two weeks of her intense suffering, she appreciated beyond measure the kind attention and loving ministrations of a number of thoughtful girls, and kind friends and neighbors who did what they could to assist the family in alleviating her suffering and make her last hours as pleasant as possible.

She leaves a devoted mother, three sisters, INEZ JOSEPHINE DUNBAR, ADDA AGNES HOGUE, GRACIE ELIZABETH HOGUE and one brother, HORACE JOHN HOGUE, one sister, COZETTA IONE, having died in infancy. Her father, GREEN BERRY HOGUE, departed this life some twelve years ago. Her mother, two sisters and her brother were permitted to be at her bedside in her last illness, one sister being detained at home on account of sickness in her family.
