Decatur County Journal
Thursday, January 6, l92l

ASENATH M. WILSON, daughter of HUGH J. and PERMELIA (BOYD) WILSON, was born April l0, l842, in Richland County, Ohio. She was united in marriage to LINUS W. BUELL, of Oconee, Ill., Nov. l5, l866, at Linn Grove, Ia. To this union were born three children, all of whom survive. DELMOND and DESSIE (MRS. H.E. HUGHES), of Leon, and WILLARD, of Los Angeles, California.

She also leaves behind two brothers, JAMES A. WILSON, of Garden Grove, Ia., and F.S. WILSON, of Pawnee City, Nebraska, and one sister, MRS. DESSIE W. WADDELL, of San Bernadino, California, also four grandchildren; three granddaughters and a grandson.

She came to the vicinity of Leon to reside about l870. Four years ago she removed to this city where she spent the remainder of her life. She has been a faithful member of the Leon Presbyterian Church for more than thirty-five years, attending first at Crown Chapel and then at Leon. She was exceedingly faithful in the discharge of her church duties and took an especial delight in attending divine service, having been present at church just two weeks previous to her death.

She was one of the earliest members of the local Order of the Eastern Star and took great pleasure in the associations and work of that Order. She was also a member of the Woman's Relief Corps while that organization was in existence here.

She will be missed more sadly than words can tell by her wide circle of friends. Her devotion as a mother, her loyalty and kindness as a neighbor, her sympathy as a friend will linger long in the memory of those who knew her. Fittingly she fell asleep in the quiet and peace of the Sabbath morning. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, her Pastor, Rev. T.F. Campbell, officiating. A large concourse of friends were in attendance, the Order of the Eastern Star attending in a body. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS.

We wish to express our deep appreciation of the many kindnesses and for the sympathy and help of neighbors and other friends at the time of the death of our beloved mother.

MRS. H.E. HUGHES,

D.A. BUELL,

W.F. BUELL.
