She came with her parents to Leon, Iowa, when a small child, at the time Leon consisted of one store and the dwellings mostly log cabins, all merchandise and household necessities being hauled overland from Burlington.

She was united in marriage to JOSEPH DOBSON at Leon, Iowa, December l9, l869. To this union were born twelve children, six sons and six daughters. Six children preceded her in their infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss, her faithful and devoted husband, six children, FRANK, JESSIE, wife of AARON GOODMAN; LEWIS, NORA, ELBERT and CHARLES, who were at her bedside during her last illness. Besides, she leaves three sisters, MRS. SOPHRONA HUTSON, of Pleasanton, Iowa; MRS. C.M. AKES and MRS. ALFRED DECK, of Leon; four brothers, ALONZO, JACOB and JOE WARNER, of Stockton, California and ANDREW WARNER, of Berkeley, California. The brothers were unable to be with her during her sickness. She also leaves four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She united with the Church of Christ during her early childhood and in l9l5 consecrating her life anew to the Lord, seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit as at Pentecost, Acts 2:l-4. MRS. DOBSON has been a sufferer for the past four years. She loved to live, wanted to live, but expressed her willingness and readiness to go with faith and victory in the Lord. The children lose a beautiful, good and affectionate mother and the community a good friend and neighbor. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Funeral services were held at Palestine Church, June l7th, at 2:30 p.m., conducted by J.A. Derry, of Mercer, Mo., assisted by Arthur Groblebe, of Mt.
