CAROLINE ROBBINS, daughter of ISAAC and NANCY (HUMES) ROBINSON, was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, January 28th, l840, and departed this life at her home in Leon, Iowa, May 8th, l920, aged 80 years, 3 months and l0 days. She was united in marriage to MR. WILLIAM ROBBINS on September 20, l857, and together they resided on their farm in Decatur Township, Decatur County, Iowa. Here she lived the larger part of her life, and watched the family grow to manhood and womanhood seeking homes of their own. She mingled in the life of the community, assisted with the church work, and could always be relied on as a kind neighbor to take her part in building up the community. Her husband passed away in l906, and after two years, in l908, she moved to Leon, where she resided until her death.

She leaves to mourn her loss, DAVID L. ROBBINS, of Carlisle, Ark.; LIZZIE, of Leon; MRS. MARTHA WALKER, of Van Wert, Iowa; SHERM and W., of Decatur, Iowa; MRS. ANNA MATSLER, of Elvina, Mo.; MRS. EMMA EDWARDS, of Van Wert, Iowa; and FRANK, of near Decatur City; also many relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was held Monday from the home in Leon. Rev. Jervis, of the Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial followed in the Shy Cemetery.
