Thursday, February 26, l920CLYDE B. WELDON, son of MR. and MRS. JOHN WELDON, was born near Decatur, Iowa, October 25, l885, and died at his home at Cainesville, Mo., February l9, l920. MR. WELDON grew to manhood on the home farm northwest of Decatur and has lived in Decatur County all of his life, with the exception of a few years that the whole family has been in Cainsville.
He was married to MISS BESSIE MELVIN, also of Decatur County, and to this union three sons were born, GARLAND, GERALD and KENNETH. MR. WELDON was converted during the winter of l9l6 and was baptized that spring, taking membership in the Cainsville Christian Church, and remaining a faithful member until the day of his death.
MR. WELDON will be sorely missed by his friends and business associates for in all of these he was a wholesome good fellow. Not only will he be missed by these, but also by hosts of relatives, among them especially by his three sons and their mother, because he made much of home life, also by his father, his three brothers and sister. CLYDE passed away confessing his faith in the fact that he was going to meet his mother who had preceded him in death and recommending to those left behind the Christ who was his Savior.
Funeral srvices were conducted from the home, Friday afternoon, February 20th, by Henry Esch, Pastor of the Christian Church. Interment was at Cainsville.
