ELIZABETH JENNIE WRIGHT was born at East Topson, Vermont, March 30, l839. She moved to Illinois with her parents when about l2 years old. She united with the Congregational Church at Neponset, Ill., at the age of l8, being the last of the charter members of that church to pass away. She remained a member of that denomination until the time of her death.
She was married to C.F. LEWIS at Neponset, Ill., Sept. 9th, l858. To this union were born three children, two passing away in infancy. They moved to Iowa in the year l873, where her husband died in l888, after which she made her home with her son, H.C. LEWIS, until l904, when she was married to E.P. WRIGHT at Des Moines, Iowa.

They moved to Anaheim, Calif., where she resided until the death of MR. WRIGHT in l908, when she moved to Artesia, Calif. For the past five years she lived with her only son, H.C. LEWIS, where she passed away Sunday noon, December 28th, l9l9, at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 28 days. She leaves to mourn her sudden death besides her son and daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, MRS. ELLEN MEESE, of Ocean Park, Calif., MRS. GRACE CANNON, of Los Angeles, Calif., and MISS BERTHA LEWIS. Also three great grandchildren, DOROTHY MEESE, RONALD MEESE and ELIZABETH CANNON.

The funeral services were held January 2, l920, at the Norwalk Undertaking parlors after which the remains were taken to Leon, Iowa, for burial beside her first husband. A short service was held at the grave, the burial being in the Franklin Cemetery, Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by F.A. Garber.
