MARY JANE THOMAS, daughter of SAMUEL and HANNAH THOMAS, was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, on April l8th, l835, and died at her home in Morgan Township, Decatur County, Iowa, January 2, l920, aged 84 years, 9 months and l4 days. She was married to GEORGE W. RUDIBAUGH on March 3rd, (can't read), and they were permitted to live happily together until April 4, l9l4, when the husband passed away at the advanced age of 84 years.

They came from Ohio to Iowa in l857, where they have since resided. To this union three children were born, two of whom preceded the mother in death: CHARLES L, of Davis City, Iowa, who died January l5, l9l8; and MRS. ICIE BARR, of Lineville, Iowa, who died November 2, l9l9. MRS. NETTIE KEATON, the surviving daughter, resides at Orchard, Wash. She is survived by this one daughter, one aged sister, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday, January 4th, conducted by Rev. Geo. W. Hall, of Lineville. Interment following at Evergreen Cemetery, Lineville, Iowa.
