WALDEN FUNERAL HELD ON SUNDAY
E.H. Walden, Sr., Passed Away on Sept. 19 After Short Illness—Resident since 1919E. H. Walden, Sr., passed away Friday noon after having been in a coma since he suffered a stroke on Wednesday morning, September 14. Death occurred following a second stroke on September 19. Services were held Sunday from the Coliseum. W. E. Prall was in charge of the service and Pastor D.B. Borden delivered the sermon.
Mr. Walden was born January 1, 1868, at River Falls, Wis., and was married to Grace Tabbut on November 26, 1896. Nine* children, Arthur, Walter, Wilburt, Ernest, Nelle, James, Ruth, Robert, and Evan were born to this union and all survive.
In 1919, the Walden family moved to Lamoni from their home in Minnesota. Since that time the members of the family have been active in school, church, and civic affairs of the community.

Walden, Sr., were Ernest, of Randolph Field, Texas; Mrs. Claire Silver, Austin, Texas; Robert Walden, Independence, Mo.; Dr. and Mrs. James Walden, of Des Moines; and Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Tabbut, of Pelican Rapids, Minn.

Thursday, September 25th, 1941, pgs. 1 & 5*NOTE: A tenth child, Richard Andrew Walden, died in 1911 a bit over the age of 1. Also, E. Henry and wife Grace raised their grandson, Richard Norman Walden.
