Mrs. Flannagan, 97, Dies At Davis City, Ia.
Mrs. Anna Eliza Flanagan, Pleasanton, died Monday, Sept. 18, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.D. Snethen, Davis City. She was 97. Funeral services were held at St. Brendan's Church, Leon, Ia., with the Rev. Fr. E.J. Harkin officiating. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery, Pleasanton.
Mrs. Flanagan, daughter of Benjamin and Mary Ellen Hamilton, was born Dec. 11, 1852, at Lebanon, Marion County, KY. She was married to John A. Flanagan, Oct. 11, 1875. They had ten children. Three of them died in infancy. Her husband died in 1900 and she made her home with her son, Bennie, until the past few years, which had been spent with her daughter, Mrs. Snethen. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Snethen., besides the following children, Dora Brown, Cabool, Mo.; Ella Edwards, Sunnyside, Wash.; Bennie Flannagan, Pleasanton; and Johnny Pius Flnanagan, Leon, Ia. a brother, George Hamilton, Pleasanton.
