Charles Henry Reynolds, son of Samuel and Phoebe Elizabeth Reynolds was born Nov. 16, 1879, at Chatham, Ontario, and departed this life June 7, 1961, at Decatur county hospital at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, four brothers and three sisters.

He came to Michigan with his parents when he was three months old. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since childhood, having served as deacon for a number of years.

He was united in marriage to Mary L. Lambkin on March 24, 1901, at South Boardman, Mich. To this union were born three daughters and one son.

He followed the trade of cooking most of his life. He cooked at the state hospital in Traverse City, Mich., and at the Saints home in Lamoni.

Surviving are his wife Mary and three daughters (Cecil), Mrs. Walter Cole of Lamoni, (Rena), Mrs. Victor Clark of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and (Beulah), Mrs. J. Doty of Grayling, Mich., and his son Sheldon Reynolds of Midland, Mich.; three sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; one sister, Mrs. Ella Webber of Magnolia, Alberta; and one brother, Jed Reynolds of Chase, Mich., also 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
