13 Jul 1887 in Ringgold County, Iowa, the 2nd child of 8 children born to Anna Hewlett and John M. Harris was a daughter named Grace Harris. 15 Dec 1956 in Lamoni, Decatur County, Iowa, at the age of 69 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days, Grace Harris passed away.

Miss Grace Harris was born on July 13th, 1887, in Ringgold County Iowa, to parents, Anna Hewlett and John M. Harris. Grace Harris lived most of her life in Decatur County, Iowa, except for a short time when she was a young girl in Salina, Kansas. She received a common school education in Decatur County, Iowa. Grace remained in Decatur County, Iowa after her mother's death.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents, two infant sisters & a sister Mabel Harris, Saline County, Kansas.

Those left to mourn her passing are sisters: Minnie Jane Harris Engstrom Michelsen, Ora Harris Armstrong & Edith Elma Harris Dickerson Beckley all of Kansas and brother Samuel C Harris of Minnesota

Miss Grace Harris never married. She was a devoted daughter, loving sister & aunt.
Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Decatur County, Iowa.
