PHOEBE LITTLE was born February 22, l83l, in McHenry County, Illinois, and moved with her father to Marengo, Illinois, where she grew to womanhood. Her mother died when she was very small. She was married to HENRY LITTLE, May l5, l854, at Decatur City, Iowa, and in the same year they settled on a farm north of Decatur where she has lived continuously for sixty-one years. She was the mother of five children, all living except one. They are namely, SAMUEL H. LITTLE, MAE LANTZ, ETTA KING, and EMMA WILLS, all being present at the time of her death. MR. LITTLE died April 7, l902, at the age of 75 years. MRS. LITTLE joined the Adventist Church when quite young and lived an upright Christian life. For the past fourteen months she has been confined to her bed but the end came January l0, l9l7.

Funeral services were conducted at Union Chapel Church Sunday at l:30 p.m. Pastor C.V. Starr, of Pleasanton spoke words of comfort from Heb. 9:27-28, and she was laid to rest beside her husband to await the call of the Lifegiver at the great executive judgment day which is very near.
