CLAUDE WILLIAM BOYD was born in Mercer County, Mo., September 2l, l89l, and departed this life at his home near Leon, December l9, l9l6. He was united in marriage to MISS KITTIE STILL, August 8, l909. To this union were born two children, FOREST FRANKLIN and HILDA MAE.

He united with the Brethren Church, April, l9l6, and since that time has lived a devoted Christian life. He bore his suffering with patience. He was a loving husband and a devoted father.

Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, who reside near Leon, four sisters, MRS. ROSA GRAHAM, MRS. ORA HOLLAND, of Moreland, Okla., MRS. LAURA PORTER, of Stroud, Oklahoma, and MRS. ELLA MORTON, of St. John, Kansas, and one brother, ELMER BOYD, of Leon.

Funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church by Henry Esch, Thursday, December 2l, at ll o'clock. Interment was in Leon Cemetery.
