VAN WERT NEWS:

FREDA HALL WOOD was born near Leon, Iowa,
July 7, l895. She was the
daughter of E.P. and FLORA HALL, and the
youngest of six children. When
six years of age she moved with her parents
to their present home where
she spent the remainder of her life, except
three years, during which
time the family resided in New Mexico.

She united with the Christian Church in the
year, l9l3. On October 30,
l9l5, she was united in marriage to RALPH
WOOD, and after a short stay
in Colorado, returned to her father's home
where she died on December
lst, l9l5. All that loving hands and medical
skill could do was done
but to no avail. Two sisters and one brother
preceded her, and she
leaves the lonely husband, father, mother and
two brother, HARRY, of
Lucas and ROY, of Weldon, besides a host of
other relatives and friends
to mourn her departure.

FREDA was a bright, loving girl, possessed
with an unusual amount of
energy and thrift which often carried her
beyond her strength. And unto
the very last she was hopeful, making plans
for the future when her
strength would return. The remembrance of
these characteristics will be
an inspiration to those who will miss FREDA
most.

Funeral services were held at the home on the
afternoon of December 3,
conducted by H.G. Barr, of Des Moines, Pastor
of the Weldon Christian
Church, and were very largely attended by
neighbors and friends who had
sought to show their sympathy for the
bereaved ones. The body was then
laid to rest in the Green Bay Cemetery.

We desire to thank all neighbors and friends
for the help and kindness
shown during the illness and death of our
loved one, also for the
beautiful floral offerings, and the musicians
who assisted in the
funeral service.
