Decatur County Journal
Thursday, August 24, l9l6

EVA MILDRED RICHARDS, youngest daughter of
MR. and MRS. J.E. RICHARDS,
was born March l8, l9l3, and departed this
life at the home of her
parents near Woodland, Iowa, August l7, l9l6,
at the age of three years,
four months and twenty-nine days.

Little MILDRED was a great favorite in her
home and among her friends.
She was one of those happy little souls
blessed with a kind disposition
and a happy nature. The little one bore her
sickness and suffering
without complaint. She was a lover of
religious songs, her favorite
being, "Since Jesus Came into My Heart." She
will be missed in the
bereaved home and among her friends. But,
God knows best. Of her we can
truly say, "She is merely a transplanted
flower."

Her early departure is mourned by her father
and mother, one brother and
three sisters, and many sympathizing friends.

The funeral services were held at the home
Friday morning, August l6th;
Rev. Mosier, of Leon, was in charge. The
burial took place in the
Gosport Cemetery in Marion County, near which
place her parents had
formerly lived.

RICHARDS.
