MARGARET MAUDE STONE died in Lamoni Tuesday evening, January 29th, at 10:30 o'clock aged 21 years, 1 month and 2 days. She was the youngest daughter of JOHN and MARGARET STONE, and was born in Decatur December 27th, 1879.
The funeral services were held at the home of MRS. MARGARET STONE on last Friday morning at ll o'clock and were conducted by Rev. W.H. Ilsley, pastor of the Leon Presbyterian Church, who delivered an appropriate and able discourse. Excellent singing was furnished by a choir from Decatur City. A numerous crowd attended the funeral, and a procession composed of more than one hundred vehicles wended its way to the Shy Cemetery where the remains were laid at rest.
The deceased graduated from the Leon High School in the class of '97. She was extremely popular among her associates and acquaintances, all of whom deplore her sad and untimely death. The stricken family have the sympathy of the public in the hour of their bereavement.
