ALICE MORTON, daughter of NATHAN and CLARA
MORTON, was born near DeKalb,
Long Creek Township, Decatur County, Iowa,
December l4, l854. She died
at Decatur City, Iowa, Saturday morning,
February 26, l9l6, aged 5l
years, 2 months and ll days. She had been an
invalid during her whole
life, and since her father's death two years
ago, she had been cared for
by her faithful stepmother, MRS. AMANDA
MORTON. She bore her physical
infirmities with great patience and
appreciated the care which she
received.

She leaves to mourn her departure, one
sister, MRS. FANNIE VAUGHN, of
Des Moines; and her faithful stepmother, MRS.
AMANDA MORTON and one
stepsister, MRS. LILLIAN NEAL. Funeral
services conducted at the house
Sunday afternoon by the Pastor of the M.E.
Church. Interment was in the
Decatur City Cemetery.
