Hannah C. Euritt was born in Augusta County, VA and died at her home in Decatur County Iowa, March 26,1905, being 56 years, 2 months and 13 days old.
She came with her parents to Iowa in 1855, married John Ross, Nov. 3, 1867. To this union were born 12 children, seven sons and five daughters, three sons and three daughters having departed from this life some years ago, there being the husband, four sons, two daughters, three grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters and an aged mother left to mourn their loss.
Over thirty-five years ago, Mrs. Ross united with the M.E. Church, living a consistent life, being a model mother, an exemplary wife and neighbor. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." John 11:25-26.
The funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. S. Harvey, pastor U.B. Church. Interment in the Elk Cemetery. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of a host of friends.
