JOHN D. BALDWIN died at his residence in the south part of town last Friday morning at 4 o'clock, aged 62 years.

The funeral exercises were conducted by ELDER W.E. JONES, of Seymour, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the remains were laid at rest in the Leon Cemetery. The deceased was an old and highly esteemed citizen and many years ago was prominently identified with the business interests of the town. He served as deputy sheriff of the county and also as constable for a number of years with entire satisfaction to the public.

He leaves two grown daughters, who have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
