PAGE -- Near Lamoni, Iowa, January 6th, 1892, Bro. James Page, of liver complaint. He was born August 15th, 1815, at Wymondham, Norfolk, England. His earthly pilgrimage was 76 years, 4 months, and 21 days; was baptized June 6th, 1848, and emigrated with his family to Utah, where his wife died, March 22d, 1864. By this first marriage he was the father of fourteen children. Eight sons and two daughters survive him. September 8th, 1865 was married a second time. Leaving Utah in April, 1866, he located at Ottumwa, Iowa, and in October of the same year went back to England. There he and wife were baptized into the Reorganization by Elder Thomas Taylor, at Birmingham. His second wife died in the early part of 1882. April 17th of the same year, he was married to his present widow. They went to Utah in 1884, and came to Lamoni in May, 1888. The above items were written by the brother before his decease. He was ever faithful, and willing to give a reason for the hope he had in the gospel. Funeral, January 8th, at the brick church, in Lamoni; sermon by R. M. Elvin, from Gen. 6:62, I. T., assisted by I. N. Roberts. The body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery to await the resurrection of the just.
