TABITHA PENTON MOORE was born January l8, l8l9, near Laureltown, Sussex
County, Delaware, and died near Ingleton, Oklahoma, January l5, l905,
aged 85 years, ll months and l7 days. She was united in marriage to
JAMES R. PACE in l846. To this union were born eight children; MARTHA,
MARY, JASPER (deceased), JAMES W., SUSAN (deceased), GEORGE E., SARAH
E., and GENEVA.
She united at an early age, with the German Baptist Church, with which
she remained a consistent member until her death. She, with her husband
and family, moved to this county about the year l854, where she lived
until l880. Her husband was accidentally killed in l879, after which
time she made her home with her son, GEORGE, until she pased away after
a brief illness of five days of la grippe.
