OBITUARY - LOU P. JOHNSON.

JOHN JOHNSON, who resides north of Leon, received a telegram Friday of
last week stating that his son, LOU P. JOHNSON, of Las Vegas, New
Mexico, was dead. The body was brought to Leon Monday for burial. The
funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Tuesday afternoon at l
o'clock, Rev. J.L. Boyd conducting the services.
The deceased was born at Rosedale, Chicago, Ill., March 2, l88l. With
his parents, he came to Decatur County in l902, living on a farm
northwest of Leon, and afterwards was employed at the Clarinda Poultry
Co.'s plant in this city. He left Leon last September, going to Las
Vegas, New Mexico, where he died February 25th, but no particulars of
his death have been received by his parents. He is survived by his
father, mother, two brothers, one sister and other relatives, as well as
many friends to mourn his loss. His brother, MARTIN JOHNSON, and
family, and a cousin, MISS CENA LARSON, of Chicago, came Sunday to
attend the funeral.
