Obituary Louis Jenkins

Louis Jenkins, the son of Harry S. and Hattie Mae Jenkins, was born in Leon,
Iowa, June 20, 1904 and passed away at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon
December 30, 1958.
On April 24, 1928, be was united in marriage to Mildred L, Beasley. To them
were born three children, Carol Lee Halstead of Lincoln, Nebr.; Barbara Lou
Vaughn of Leon and Lloyd of Leon
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Kathryn Gordon.
Surviving are his wife, and children six grandchildren, Paul, and Penny
Vaughn; Monty. Scotty Danny and Tony Hallstead; two brothers Harry and Earl
Jenkins of Ardmore, Okla., and his other relatives and many friends.
He was a member of the Methodist church and be lived nearly all of his life
in this community. He dearly loved his family and his home. He was a real
sportsman, enjoying all outdoor activities, His passing will leave a great
vacancy in his home and, he will be sadly missed by his many friends who
enjoyed his companionship.
Funeral services were conducted from the Stewart funeral home on Thursday,
January 1, 1959 at 1:30 p m Burial was in the Leon cemetery Rev. Eldon
Haworth pastor of the Methodist church officiated.
