Decatur County Journal
Thursday, September 30, l9l5

MINA KING was born near Pleasanton, Iowa,
June 28, l874, and died in
Denver, Colorado, September l2, l9l5.

She was married in Stanberry, Mo., January
2l, l903, to JOHN KELLY and
located at Carbondale, Illinois, where their
little son, ROBERT, was
born November 2, l904. Later MR. KELLY's
health failing they moved to
Denver. MRS. KELLY had been quite a sufferer
from rheumatism, which
affected her heart and she was an invalid for
the greater part of the
last four or five years, and the sad part was
that MR. KELLY did not
regain his health and went east in the hope
that he would get better.

MRS. KELLY's mother, MRS. E.A. ALLEN, known
to many people in Decatur
County, was with her daughter until the end
and with the little son,
ROBERT, accompanied the body to Carbondale,
Illinois where it was laid
to rest among the many beautiful flowers,
tributes of love from friends
both in Denver and Carbondale. Her's was a
beautiful life; patient,
bright, cheerful. She was an inspiration to
every one with whom she
came in contact. Her husband will remain in
Carbondale, but the mother
and little son will return to Dener for the
present, passing through
Leon on their way home.
