MISS TRELLA EVA RIDGEWAY was born in Peoria
County, Illinois, May l5,
l86l, and died February 26, l9l7, being 55
years, l0 months and ll days
of age. She lived at the place of her birth
until the age of nine years
when she, with her parents, moved to Lawrence
County, Illinois, living
at that place until the age of sixteen years
when she, with the family,
moved to Boone County, Iowa.

At the age of nineteen she was united in
marriage with J.H. PALMER,
March 2, l880. To this union four children
were born: MRS. ELLA BISHBY,
of Perry, Iowa, AMIS PALMER, of Leon, MARION
and WALTER PALMER at home.
All were present at her bedside at the last.

MR. and MRS. PALMER made their home near
Perry, Iowa, for thirty-one
years, when in the year l9ll they moved to
Decatur County, Iowa, living
near Decatur City where MRS. PALMER was
called
away from earthly cares. In the year l890,
MRS. PALMER was converted
and united with the Peoples Baptist Church of
Boone County, Iowa. On
their return to this place she united with
the Palestine Baptist
Church. She lived a consecrated and devoted
Christian life, ever
zealous in working for the cause of her
Master. She leaves to mourn
their loss a companion, four children, three
brothers and two sisters,
friends and neighbors. She will be sadly
missed in the home church and
community for she was a faithful companion, a
kind and loving mother and
neighbor, but our loss is Heaven's gain.

The funeral was held at the Palestine Church
March l, l9l7, the services
conducted by Rev. Dale. Interment in Leon
Cemetery.
