Leon, Decatur County, IowaNora Louise Tuttle, age 49, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at her Creston, Iowa home. She was born July 27, 1968, daughter of Wendell Dean and Leota Maxine (Armstrong) Tuttle, in Corydon, Iowa.
Nora grew up in Wayne and Decatur Counties in Iowa. She attended school in Corydon and Leon and graduated from Central Decatur High School in Leon in May of 1988.
Nora lived in a group home in Creston and graduated to living in her own apartment. She was active in Special Olympics, held several jobs in Creston, and was very proud of her 19 years with Hy-Vee. She loved animals and enjoyed talking to her coffee drinker friends at Hy-Vee. She was very grateful to Holly with SIRF for all her help.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Philip and Kenneth Tuttle; and infant sister, Sara Dot Tuttle. Survivors include her sisters, Barb Tuttle of Lamoni, Iowa and Peggy Moore and husband, Francis of Waterloo, Iowa; brother, Max Tuttle and wife, Mary of Corydon, Iowa; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018, with Rev. Max Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in the Corydon Cemetery, Corydon, Iowa.
Memorials may be given to an Animal Rescue League or Animal Humane Society of your choice in Nora’s memory.
