Charles C. Little, son of Robert and Mary Ann Little, was born Nov. 17, 1859 in Yates county, New York, and died at his home in Leon, Iowa, May 2, 1913, aged 53 years, 6 months and 15 days. When ten years of age he moved with his parents to Michigan, near Grand Rapids and afterwards to Champaign, Ill., where he was married to Etta Wright March 5, 1884. To this union was born three children: Mrs. Blanche Moore, of Albia, Iowa; Raymond and Irving, all of whom survive and were present during his sickness and death.

In 1890 the deceased moved to Holdredge, Neb., and after a short stay moved to Leon in April, eleven years ago. He was a member of the M. R. church and gave evidence of faith in God by the patience and fortitude during his sickness which was one of the most painful diseses. He belonged to the I. O. O. F. at Champaign, Ill.

The funeral was held in Leon Sunday afternoon, May 4, 1913, at 3:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. G. Duling, pastor of the M. E. church at Garden Grove. The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful from friends and relatives. One brother, Irvin, was present at the funeral, the other brothers and sister being unable to attend.

The pall bearers were Harry A. Wright, C. R. Westmorland, D. G. Wright, Chas. Wright and I. R. Little. Interment was made in the Leon cemetery.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. S. D. Newell, of Humeston; Mrs. C. S. Stanley and daughter, of Garden Grove; Mrs. John Daugherty, of Rockwell City; D. J. Wright and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Wright, of Lake City; Irving Little and daughter Rose, of Normal, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Westmorland, of New Sharon; and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Lake, of Lovilia; and Mrs. Geo. Woods of Humeston.
