CINTHA (sic) LOUISE, about one year old,
daughter of MR. and MRS. BLISS
COONTZ, who reside about three-fourths of a
mile north of Woodland, died
Tuesday morning as the result of burns
sustained on the previous Sunday
when the babe had spilled a cup of coffee
over herself at the dinner
table.

Sunday, MRS. COONTZ had poured a cup of hot
coffee and with the baby in
her arms, sat down at the table. The baby,
before the mother could
prevent, suddenly knocked the cup of coffee
over, the contents running
over the child. The burns were given
immediate attention but were not
thought to be serious until Monday when the
child was taken with
spasms. Doctors Coontz, of Garden Grove, and
Lovett, of Lineville, were
both summoned and did everything possible to
save the little one but she
passed away Tuesday morning. The bereaved
parents have the sympathy of
all in the sad death of their little
daughter.

WOODLAND NEWS:

The funeral of little CYNTHIA LOUISE, only
daughter of MR. and MRS.
BLISS COONTZ, was held Wednesday morning at
l0 o'clock at the home,
conducted by Rev. J.G. Duling, of Garden
Grove, and interment at the
Garden Grove Cemetery.
