Brian Eric "Goof" Baker, Jr., 30, died unexpectedly May 31, 2015 in Belton, MO.

Brian is survived by his parents Brian Sr. and Kelly Baker of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Brother Kurtis Baker and his wife Linsey of Ft. Worth, Texas and his sister Wendy Kester and husband Nathan of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, his love of his life Mallory Baysinger of Belton, Missouri. He is also survived by nephews Aidan, Isaac and Enoch Kester, and Dallas Baker, and nieces Cyndi Klaire and Dakota Baker along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Eugene and Mary Baker and his maternal grandparents Kiyoshi and Lucy Oshiro and also his niece Lucy Kester.

Brian Jr. was born on January 19, 1985 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Brian Sr. and Kelly. He was a former student of Belton High School before joining the United States Army. After joining, he did one hardship tour in Korea before being stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was then called upon to serve our country in Afghanistan [Spc., U.S. Army] for a year. After serving 4 years active duty he decided to join the Army Reserves and continue his education where he was currently taking classes with the University of Phoenix.

Brian Jr. was beloved by many close friends a few of which had children that he considered to be family of his own including Makinzy and Elliana, Dakota and Memphis, and Gracelyn and Adelia.

Brian Jr. was an avid fan of sports. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He was also a big fan of the soccer team Manchester United. What he loved even more was serving his country, Brian was proud to be in the military and follow the footsteps of his father.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, June 5th 2015 at 9 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 13025 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, Missouri. Bishop Jerry Overson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brian's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to USAA Credit Union Account # 0188123067 to serve as an education fund for his twin sons due to be here in October. The family would like to thank The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Kansas City 3rd Ward and family and friends for their support and love.

[Interment was made at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.]
