Jessie McGahuey was born February 25, 1903 in Decatur County. She was the daughter of Charles and Chloe Mullin and came from a family of five children, one brother, Ralph preceding her in death, Dec 28, 1911. On Nov. 18, 1918, her mother died leaving her to help bear the burden of taking care of the home. On Nov. 20, 1927, her father also died.

She was united in marriage to Golden McGahuey, son of Edward and Mary McGahuey, on Oct 7, 1925.

She converted at Fairview in 1927, and became a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Omaha. Later she became a member of the Assembly of God church at Leon.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, one sister Marjorie, who has made her home with her since her father's death, two brothers, Theodore Mullin of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and Clinton Mullin of Grand River, Iowa, also several aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Decatur Sunday, Oct. 25, at the M. M. hurch, conducted by Geo. R. Lamb, pastor of the Assembly of God church of Leon, Interment being made in the Decatur Cemetery.
