Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, IowaOllie Eaton Jones was born May 10, 1886, in Downs, Kansas, and expired Sept. 20, 1981, at Indianola, Iowa.
On Sept. 2, 1906, she was united in marriage to Joseph Jones. To this union three children were born, Wayne, Merle and Earl. They lived all their married life in Decatur and Ringgold Counties until 1971 when they moved to Indianola.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; son Earl and wife, Vivian; daughter Merle Oliver and husband, George; daughter-in-law Beulah Jones; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her family. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her, and many friends.
She enjoyed her years of pleasure with Eastern Star, Rebekahs, and her church.
Funeral services were held Sept. 23, 1981, at the Slade Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa, with the Rev. George W. Swan officiating. Burial was in the Decatur [City] Cemetery [Decatur County].
