George WIlliam Hall, second son of James and
Lucinda Ridgeway Hall, wasborn
at Bufford Grove, Singman County, Illinois
(misspelled), on February 4, 1858
and passed away at the home of his sister
Mrs. Steve Short,Leon Iowa on
April 14, 1942.
At the time of his death he was 84 years, 2
months and 10 days old. Mr. Hall
came to Iowa with his parents as a small boy.
In 1899 he went to California
and lived there one year. From there, he went
to Oregon and on to Montana
then back to Iowa where he spent the
remainder of his life.
>From a family of 8 children, he leaves to
mourn his passing two sisters,
Mrs. Steve Short of Leon Iowa with whom he
had made his home for the last
six years, and Mrs. Lily Anderson of Ellston,
IA.
Funeral services conducted by Miles Taber of
the Leon Brethren church were
held at the Shade Funeral Home Thursday,
April 16, at 2:00 o'clock. Burial
was made in the Mt. Ayr Cemetery.
