Doris L. Blair Harris, the youngest daughter of Harry J. and Grace (Lamorie) Blair was born on a farm south of Van Wert. She attended grade school at the Popcorn Country School on HWY 69 at Crosby Corner and graduated from Van Wert High School in 1928. She married John R. Harris, August 26, 1933. They farmed three miles west of Leon until his death on June 27, 1968.

Preceding Doris in death were her husband, John; her parents; a sister, Frances Fitzpatrick; a brother, Philip E. Blair and his wife, Vera.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.]
