Obituary ~ Alonzo Fulton
December 24, 1856 ~ January 17, 1929

Leon, Decatur County, Iowa

Alonzo Fulton, the son of Wade and Harriett Fulton, was born December 24, 1856, Pickway County, Ohio, and died January 17 [1929] at Leon.

He was in the grocery business for a number of years in Leon and Davis city, and the rest of his life he spent in farming. He married Mary L. Covington February 20, 1902.

He left to mourn his departure, his wife, one sister, Mrs. C. P. Beavers and four brothers. W. J., A., J. Wade, and Alpha Fulton all of Leon, Iowa, and two step-children, Fannie B. Shaw of Des Moines, Iowa and Cleve Covington of Certerville, Iowa.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges and the Enchampment of which he was a faithful member. He attended the Christian church.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, by Rev. W. E. Kemp, the pastor and the I. O. O. F. Burial followed in the Leon Cemetery
