Charles Burnison Stuck, eldest son of Samuel Burnison and Ninabel Denhart Stuck, was born Decembe 20, 1931, in Winterset, Iowa and died May 3, 1996, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 64 years.

Charles started attending school in Bloomfield, Iowa. In 1942 his family moved to Grand River, Iowa, and opened the Grand River Limestone Quarry. Charles graduated from the Grand River High School in 1950.

He attended Iowa State University in Ames before enlisting in the United States Army on May 7, 1952, during the Korean War. He served in combat with the 555th Battalion in Korea and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

On December 30, 1956 he was married to Bonnie Louise Akers in the Grand River Methodist Church. Four childrem were born to this union. Charles was actively invol ed in family farming north of Grand River. In 1961 he began raising purbred Charolais cattle, which was on of his great life's interests. He was a warm-hearted, hard-working farmer who was proud to be a part of the Grand River community.

He enjoyed being with his wife, children and grandson. Many happy Sunday afternoons were spent in the homes of his parents and Bonnie's parents and visiting with other relatvies. His life left a legacy of honor and integrity for his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie Stuck of Grand River; four children: Michael Stuck and wife Barbara Lynn of Grand River and their son Max Allen, a special grandson; Michele Radio and husband Dennis of Overland Park, Kansas; Karen Mortensen and husband Michael of Austin, Texas; and Nicole Stuck of Creston, Iowa; sister Virginia Janssen and husband Dick of Scottsdale, Arizon and their children Eric and Lynn; brother Davis Stuck and wife Cheryl of Mt. Ayr, Iowa and their children Jim, Steve, and Regina; other relatives and many friends.
