Obituary ~ Mildred Irene (Blair) Reed
October 30, 1920 ~ May 16, 2015

Mildred Irene Reed, Niangua, Mo, daughter of Ray Otis and Vera Emma (Westphal) Blair was born October 30, 1920 in Orient, Iowa, and departed this life May 16, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO, with her family by her side. At the time of her passing she was ninty four years of age.

She met the love of her life Jack Curtis Reed, in April 1949 and had their first date on April 28, 1949, got engaged in June, and married on September 11, 1949, and to this union two children were born.

Mildred and her family had many adventures. She and her family moved to many different towns and cities across the midwest, later settling in Niangua, MO. Family was her everything. She and Jack enjoyed many wonderful years together.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray and Vera Blair; her loving husband Jack Curtis Reed in 2006.

Mildred is survived by one daughter, Linda Sue Mann and husband Scott, Tennessee; one son, John Blair Reed and wife Deanna, Stewartsville, MO; two grandsons, Carl Curtis Stafford and wife Kim, Marshfield, MO, and Geoff Colby Reed and wife Jennifer Chesterfield, MO; two grand daughters, Irene Renee Orso and husband Sterling, Niangua, MO, and Stefani Kate Reed, Indepence, MO; four great grandchildren, Dylan Andrew Orso, Logan Jack Orso, Wyllow Irene Orso, and Madline Sara Reed, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mildred Irene Reed will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 20, 2015 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, MO. Vistation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday May 19, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donation maybe made to St. Jude's in care of Day Funeral Home, P.O. Box 75 Marshfield, MO.
