JOHN ORAMELL STEEN was born in Carroll
County, Missouri, February l7,
l878 and departed this life September 28,
l9l4, aged 36 years, 7 months
and ll days.

He was married August 2, l906 to MISS MAY
BURNETT, of Wathena, Kan., and
to this union have been born two sons,
ORAMELL JOE, who died in infancy,
and ORVILL RAYMOND, who at this time is 8
months old. Besides the son,
JOHN leaves a wife, mother, MRS. JOHN M.
THOMPSON, one brother and three
sisters to mourn his untimely death. The
sisters are MRS. MINNIE
KNEELAND, of Rulo, Neb.; MRS. NOVA E. MCGLADE
and MRS. EFFIE M. TAYLOR,
both of St. Joseph, Mo.

The funeral was held Wednesday, September 30
at the home of his mother
in Van Wert and interment was made in the Van
Wert Cemetery.
