DELILAH FRANCES CURRON was born in Richmond,
Va., in l8l2 and died
September 2l, l9l4, in Des Moines, at the
residence of her daughter,
MRS. BLANCHE FISCHER, l0l1 Mulberry Street.
She was married to JACOB
HELCHER in the year l840 and to this union
ten children were born. Her
husband, JACOB HELCHER, preceded her ten
years previous to her death.
Six daughters and one son survive her:
DANIEL HELCHER, of Highland
Park, Des Moines; MRS. DAVID HUMPHREY, of
Norfolk, Neb.; MRS. JOHN
WILSON, of Leon; MRS. B. WILSON, of Decatur
City; MRS. A.T. MCCANN, of
Des Moines; MRS. MAUD BLOMBURG, of Omaha,
Neb. All of whom were pesent
at her deathbed except MRS. HUMPHREY and MRS.
BLOMBURG, being absent on
account of sickness.

At the age of l2 years she united with the
Baptist Church and remained a
faithful member up to the time of her death.
