PEARL BEATRICE MITTEN was born in Decatur county, August 25, 1882, and died of consumption February 18, 1898. She was a great sufferer of four years, but bore it with Christian patience. The funeral service was conducted at the home on Sunday afternoon by Rev. GEO. WINTERBOURNE, pastor of the M. E. church, assisted by Rev. J. S. BAXTER, pastor of the Baptist church. The sermon was preached form John, 13:7. “What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt now hereafter.” The remains was laid to rest in the [Leon] cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
