MYRL, daughter of ABIGAIL ROBBINS THOMPSON, and KUTH EMORY THOMPSON, was born near Davis City, Iowa, Oct. 6, 1892, and died at Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Iowa, Mother’s Day, May 14, 1978.

MYRL was united in marriage with ROY MITCHELL at Davis City Aug. 17, 1913. They resided near Davis City, later moving to Osborn, Kan., where a son, GARTH THOMPSON MITCHELL, was born. They returned to Iowa, living at New Market. In 1921, they moved to Leon, Iowa. She lived with her son and family after ROY’s death in 1942.

MYRL was preceded in death by parents; three sisters and two brothers; ELVA, FLOYD, FAY, MARY, DEAN and twin, EARL; infant daughter, THELMA DARLENE; husband ROY; and grandson EDDIE.

Survivors are son GARTH and wife, MARJORIE; and granddaughter GINA MARIE; nephew, GRANVILLE THOMPSON; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
