Leon, Decatur County, IowaCLYDE RAYMOND MCKEE was born July 31, 1896, and died at his home May 4, 1978, age 81 years, 9 months and 4 days. He received his education in and around Grand River. He joined the Methodist Church in his youth.
He was married to MABEL CHICK Aug. 5, 1914. Two sons were born to this union: ADRIAN R. and JAMES M. of West Covina, Calif.
He was owner and proprietor of several restaurants and managed his own antique shop.
CLYDE and Mrs. MCKEE moved to Leisure World in Seal Beach, Calif., in 1977.
Survivors are his widow MABEL; son JAMES M.; grandson, GARY SMYTHE; granddaughter, JANICE CRONIN; and grandson, DENNIS MCKEE; five great grandchildren; sister, RUBY KELLEY.
