IRA CLYDE HEMBRY, son of FREDERICK W. and JESSIE KELLY HEMBRY, was born May 7, 1900 near Decatur, Iowa and died Feb. 11, 1984, at the Decatur County Hospital, age 83 years, 9 months and 4 days.

He was a member of the Leon Christian Church. CLYDE was united in marriage to HAZEL D. BROWN, June 6, 1923, at Mt. Ayr, Iowa. To this union five children were born, three daughters and two sons. He as a lifelong resident of Decatur County, Iowa, and devoted his life to farming. His wife, HAZEL, died on April 14, 1963.

On December 18, 1963, he was united in marriage to MABEL V. YOUNG at Bethany, Mo.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife HAZEL, two brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are his widow, MABEL; five children: MARYBELLE HILL and husband RALPH, Leon; MYRON and wife, GLENDEAN, Weldon; JOANNE HANTHORN and husband, EARL, Leon; and CAROL ENGELBRECHT and husband, LEON, Altoona; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: PRUDENCE KAISER, Arcadia, Ca., PAULINE GREENHALGH, Denver, Co., MARJORIE MCCLURE, Leon, Iowa and OPAL SHULTZ, Seaside, Or.; 2 brothers, LEONARD, Osceola; and LEO of Van Wert; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
