WILLIAM MONROE [sic] HARP

William Marion Harp was born, December 25, 1877, in Indiana. He passed away Sept. 14, 1945 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 20 days. He married Cynthia Alice Tharp, November 28, 1901 in Lamoni, Iowa. To this union was born five daughters, one died in infancy. He joined the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in his early teens and has been a faithful member ever since.

They came to Condon, Oregon, in 1904. In 1909 they moved to Maryhill and had spent the rest of his life there and in Wishram. He has been a member of the Masonic lodge for a number of years. He has been a well known and liked member of the community.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Harp, four daughters, Mrs. Helen Spencer, Wishram; Mrs. Elwin Coop, Camas; Mrs. Alfred Carroll, Vancouver and Mrs. Ardith Raybum of Wishram. Nine grandchildren and three brothers also survive.

Services were held Monday in Goldendale at 2:00 p. m. with Elder Leonard S. Rhodes of Washougal officiating, assisted by Elder Frank Chapman of Vancouver. Interment was made in the Odd Fellow cemetery.

Funeral rites for William Marion Harp, who passed away Friday, Sept. 14, were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the J. C. Phillips Funeral Home with Elder Leonard S. Rhodes of Washougal, officiating, assisted by Elder Frank Chapman of Vancouver. Interment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery,

He was born in Indiana, December 27, 1877 and was past 67 years of age at the time of his death. His marriage to Cynthia Alice Tharp took place in Lamoni, Iowa, on Nov. 28, 1901,

He joined the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in his early teens and had been a faithful member. He also was a member of the Masonic lodge.
