MARY AILEEN HAMLIN, daughter of HERBERT G. and GRACE (BALDWIN) SCOTT, was born north of Lamoni, Iowa on June 24, 1896 and died Jan. 15, 1983 at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa.

She attended public school in the area and graduated from Graceland Junior College.

On June 24, 1919 she was united in marriage to ZENAS L. WOOD, who preceded her in death. On November 25, 1948 she was married to FRED E. HAMLIN, who also preceded her in death.

During her lifetime, AILEEN was an active member of the Methodist church in Detroit, Mi. and was active in Red Cross work in California and in Decatur County. at the time of her death she was a member of the Leon Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Others who preceded her in death were her parents and brother, RALPH.

Surviving are her two daughters: BETTY MARTIN and husband HAROLD of Leon and JOYCE BLAKESLEY and husband GEORGE of Des Moines; two brothers: Dr. C. D. SCOTT, Leon, and FRANCIS SCOTT, Windom. Mn.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
