ARIZONA BELLE, daughter of CHARLES A. and NANCY CAROLYN MITCHELL TONEY, was born Oct. 29, 1887 near Lamoni in Decatur County, Iowa, and died at the Decatur County, Hospital, Leon, Iowa, July 18, 1978, age 90 years, 8 months and 19 days.

She attended country school in Decatur County. On May 9, 1915 she was baptized into the R. L. D. S. Church.

ARIZONA was married to JACOB LEE HAGEN July 7, 1906 at Davis City, Iowa. Two daughters were born to this union: LEOTA MAE and LORETTA LUCILLE. They farmed near Davis City until JACOB’s death April 15, 1939.

On July 7, 1944 she was married to JASON KENT at Albia, Iowa, where they continued to make their home. After his death Dec. 29, 1969, she moved to Leon, Iowa.

Others preceding her in death were parents; sister, ESTHER TONEY; two brothers, LLOYD and LAWRENCE TONEY; great grandson; step-daughter, MARGUERITE WILSON; and step-son, CLYDE KENT.

Survivors include two daughters; LEOTA ROSS and LUCILLY JOY, both of Leon; ten grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three brothers, AARON TONEY, Portland, Ore.; VERNON TONEY, Leon; and VIRGIL TONEY, Seattle, Wash.; CLARA HULLNGER, Leon; ELSIE ZIMMERMAN, Osceola, Iowa; and MAUDE JOHNSON, Albany, Ore.; two step-sons, ROBERT KENT, Bartlett, Ill., and ALVIN KENT, Burlington, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Davis City.]
