Troy Everet Gorsuch, son of Junia Townsley Gorsuch and John Andrew Gorsuch, was born on a farm west of Lamoni, Iowa, on December 10, 1909 and died December 30, 1978 at Des Moines.

On December 10, 1939 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, he was united in marriage to Pauline Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith. One son, Gordon Troy Gorsuch, was born to bless this union.

Troy was a graduate of Leon High School, attended Harding College at Morrelton, Arkansas, for two years and was graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He was a Junior High teacher for many years.

As a young man he accepted Christ as his Savior, was baptized and became a member of the Leon Church of Chirst.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline, Des Moines, son, Gordon Gorsuch, Denver, Colorado; grandson, Gregory Gorsuch, New Hampton, New Hampshire; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Floyd Wheeler, Leon, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Gorsuch, San Diego, California.
