Nancy L. Dobson, 74, entered into eternal life with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2004 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday May 22 at Leon Cemetery in Leon, Iowa.

Nancy was born May 14, 1930 in Leon, Iowa to Perry and Nellie Latta. She lived in Des Moines most of her life where she retired from Bankers Trust. She moved to Melcher in 2001 where she attended Dallas Christian Church and made many new friends.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Rachel) Dobson of Knoxville; daughter, Raynell (Marty) Miner of Urbandale; brothers, Donald (Helen) Latta of Dayton, Ohio, and Robert (Mae) Latta of La Pine, Oregon; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and sisters, Virginia and Lenore. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, her family and her dog, Ginger.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
